Rabat, Morocco – African football fans are eagerly awaiting the start of the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. This comes after the conclusion of the round of 16 matches of the continental tournament.
The Round of 16 matches resulted in the qualification of Egypt, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Mali, Algeria, Cameroon, and Nigeria for the next round. This comes amidst fierce competition among the top teams in Africa.
The quarter-final matches are expected to feature some heavyweight clashes. The highlight is the highly anticipated encounter between Egypt and Ivory Coast, one of the tournament’s most exciting matches. Another key match will be the clash between Morocco and Cameroon, a battle for a place in the semi-finals.
Dates for the quarter-final matches of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations:
Friday, January 9
Mali vs Senegal: 8 PM UAE time, 7 PM Saudi time, at the Tangier Stadium.
Morocco vs Cameroon: 11 PM UAE time, 10 PM Saudi time, at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
Saturday, January 10
Algeria vs Nigeria: 8 PM UAE time, 7 PM Saudi time, at the Sidi Ibrahim Oasis Stadium in Marrakech.
Egypt vs Ivory Coast: 11 PM UAE time, 10 PM Saudi time, at Adrar Stadium in Agadir.
The winner of the Mali-Senegal match will face the winner of the Egypt-Ivory Coast match in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, the winner of the Morocco-Cameroon match will face the winner of the Algeria-Nigeria match.
