The Saudi national team achieved a valuable victory over their Omani counterparts by two goals to one, in the match that brought them together today, Tuesday, as part of the Arab Cup 2025 tournament.
The Saudi national team met Oman at Education City Stadium in Qatar, as part of the first round of the 2025 Arab Cup.
The match started well for both teams, with a slight advantage for the Saudi team.
Saudi Arabia took the lead in the 55th minute through Firas Al-Buraikan, who headed home a perfectly placed cross from Salem Al-Dawsari.
Oman’s response was swift, with Ghanem Al-Habshi scoring the equalizer in the 70th minute. He headed the goal powerfully into the far left corner of the net, past goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi.
The Saudi team did not rest after Oman’s equalizer, but responded with a second goal in the 77th minute, scored by Saleh Al-Shehri.
The goal came after a cross from Salem Al-Dawsari, which Saleh Al-Shehri met with a shot into the net.

With that result, Saudi Arabia raised its points tally to 3. This placed them second in Group B of the 2025 Arab Cup, tied with group leaders Morocco.
Oman came in third place with no points, tied with Comoros, which came in last place.
