Abu Dhabi, UAE – Al Wahda qualified for the semi-finals of the UAE Pro League Cup after defeating hosts Khorfakkan 2-1 in their quarter-final match today.
Al Wahda visited Khorfakkan at the “Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi” Stadium, as part of the quarter-final round of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup.
The first leg match between the two teams, which was held at Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi, ended in a 2-2 draw.
Al Wahda thus secured their qualification for the semi-finals with a score of (4-3) in the aggregate of the two matches.
Khorfakkan started the match well, scoring the opening goal in the 17th minute.
The goal came from Lorenzi do Nascimento after he received a brilliant pass. The pass put him through on goal, and he calmly slotted the ball into the net.
In the 63rd minute, Khorfakkan’s Pedro Pavlov received a straight red card after a reckless challenge on an Al Wahda player, leaving his team to finish the match with ten men.

Diarra returned in the dying moments, specifically in the 90+2 minute, to score Al Wahda’s second goal. With this goal, he secured his team’s qualification for the semi-finals.
