Cairo, Egypt – The eyes of African football fans and enthusiasts are turning to the Moroccan city of Rabat, where the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is holding its 2025 Best in Africa Awards ceremony.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is scheduled to hold its 2025 awards ceremony this evening in Morocco, honoring the best men and women in African football.
The awards ceremony for the best in Africa will be attended by a number of prominent sports figures and former football stars, to reveal the identity of the award winners.
The categories include awards for the best male and female players, coaches, clubs, national teams, as well as emerging young talents.
CAF revealed the final lists of nominees for the best awards in the African continent, which included Egyptian competition for 3 awards.
Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is competing for the African Player of the Year award, alongside Moroccan Achraf Hakimi and Nigerian Victor Osimhen.
Pyramids FC is also competing with Morocco’s RS Berkane and South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns for the title of best club on the continent.
Meanwhile, the Moroccan duo of Pyramids FC, Mohamed Chibi and Congolese Fiston Mayele, along with Oussama El Melawi, the striker of Moroccan Renaissance Berkane, are competing for the Best Player in Africa award.

The Best in Africa Awards 2025 ceremony is scheduled to take place today, Wednesday, November 19, 2025. The ceremony will begin at 8 pm Cairo time, 9 pm Saudi time, 7 pm Morocco time, and 10 pm UAE time.

The 2025 CAF Awards ceremony will be broadcast on beIN SPORTS News (open channel) and ON Sport 1.
The ceremony will also be streamed on the Confederation of African Football’s YouTube channel.
