  • Ukraine close to retaining the title

Today’s matches saw a notable increase in the level of competition as the tournament neared its final stage. Several teams continued to consolidate their positions in the standings, led by Ukraine, which is close to retaining its title amidst strong competition from England, which continues to achieve impressive results that keep it in the running.

Mohammed Jassim Al Hosani, member of the Mixed Martial Arts Committee at the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, said: “The sixth edition of the championship embodies the UAE’s position on the global mixed martial arts map. The current edition is a model to be emulated in terms of its integrated organization and hosting, which combines high professionalism with a positive societal impact. It also features extensive international participation, which reflects the great confidence the country has gained from various federations and delegations. The massive crowds and strong competition we are witnessing confirm the success of the federation’s strategic vision to consolidate this sport and create new generations capable of representing their countries in the most prestigious tournaments.”

Gillian Pensavales, mother of Valentina Pensavales, England’s gold medalist in the Junior A category (61kg bantamweight), said: “We came here from England to participate in this important tournament. We are very happy with this achievement and winning the gold medal, especially since it required a lot of preparation and preparation, and competing in tough fights against distinguished fighters. We loved the experience. Al Ain is truly amazing, and the atmosphere at the tournament is exciting and special. We look forward to returning and participating next year.” The curtain falls on the World Junior Mixed Martial Arts Championships tomorrow (Sunday) with the conclusion of the Junior A category fights, which are crucial to determining the top positions in the overall rankings, amidst close follow-up by fans and international delegations.
