At the start of the second half, coach Kompany brought on Serge Gnabry and Lennart Karl in place of Oliseh and Coman in an attempt to give other players a chance. The German team continued its great superiority and wasted dangerous opportunities in front of the opponent’s goal, as Lennart Karl failed to snatch a new goal after a header that went close to the post. After that, Auckland goalkeeper Conor Tracy stopped a dangerous attempt from Serge Gnabry before Thomas Muller wasted a powerful shot that went just over the bar.
