Washington, DC – The United States and Iran are set to hold a new round of nuclear talks in Muscat, the capital of Oman, this Friday, according to reports citing Axios. The Trump administration has agreed to Iran’s request to move the talks from Turkey to Oman.

Sources indicate that discussions are still underway regarding the potential participation of Arab and Muslim countries from the region as intermediaries. The talks are expected to begin later this week. This comes amid international anticipation of the outcome under the current US administration. This move reinforces Muscat’s traditional role as a historically trusted mediator between Washington and Tehran, potentially leading to a more peaceful negotiation process.
