Shabwa, Yemen – The Executive Body of the Southern Transitional Council in Shabwa Governorate called on all the people of the governorate and its affiliates to mobilize and participate widely in the “Million-Man March of Steadfastness and Popular Escalation,” scheduled to be held next Friday in Freedom Square (Al-Arouz) in Khor Maksar District in the capital, Aden.
In response to President Al-Zubaidi’s call
These mass mobilizations come in direct response to the call by President Aidarus Qasim al-Zubaidi, head of the Southern Transitional Council, for the people of the South to rally in the capital, Aden.
The million-person march aims to reaffirm the unity of the southern ranks in the face of current challenges, renew the popular mandate for the leadership of the Transitional Council, and demonstrate unwavering commitment to national rights and the aspirations of the people of the South to restore their state.
Mobilization plan from Shabwa to the capital Aden
The executive body in Shabwa revealed details of the mobilization program, announcing that mass processions will depart from the capital, Ataq, at noon next Thursday, heading towards the capital, Aden. The body called upon all popular, tribal, and youth groups in Shabwa to prepare and actively participate, reflecting the significant role the governorate plays in the Southern Revolution.
Political messages at a pivotal stage
In its statement, the organization emphasized that this million-person march carries firm political and popular messages both domestically and internationally, affirming the steadfastness of the southern position and the continuation of the peaceful struggle. The statement described this stage as “pivotal,” requiring a sense of historical responsibility to convey the voice of the southern people demanding freedom and independence.
