Algeria – Algeria’s term on the UN Security Council has officially ended. This concludes a long diplomatic chapter during which Algeria made significant contributions to international peace and security issues. Bahrain has replaced Algeria in the Arab seat, reflecting the traditional rotation among Arab states within this important international forum.

During its membership, Bahrain seeks to strengthen the Arab presence. It also aims to contribute effectively to international discussions on regional conflicts, human rights, maritime security issues, and other global challenges. Furthermore, it aims to coordinate efforts with Arab states to present a unified vision reflecting the interests of the Arab nation in international forums.

This transition is part of a periodic mechanism that ensures the participation of all Arab states in international decision-making. It also reflects the Arab League’s commitment to strengthening the Arab voice within the Security Council.
