Al-Mahra, Yemen – On Tuesday evening, large crowds of people from Al-Mahra Governorate began flocking to the sit-in square in Al-Ghaydah city to participate in the major public event called

for by the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in the governorate.

These crowds come in response to the call for popular escalation, with participants raising slogans.

President Commander Aidarus Qasim Al-Zubaidi, head of the Southern Transitional Council,

is being called upon to declare the establishment of the Federal State of South Arabia.

They stressed that this step has become a national imperative that cannot be postponed.

The Mahra event comes in the context of a broad popular movement in the south, aimed at emphasizing the right to self-determination:

And to deliver a clear message to the international community and the Arab coalition about the will of the people.

He supported steps to restore the state and strengthen popular support

for the Transitional Council as the sole representative of the southern cause.

And adhering to the imposition of national sovereignty over the entire southern territory from Al-Mahra to Bab al-Mandab.

The city of Al-Ghaydah and the area surrounding the sit-in square are witnessing

a security deployment by southern security forces to secure the crowds.

And to facilitate the arrival of delegations coming from various districts of the governorate,

This took place amidst an atmosphere of enthusiasm and nationalistic chants calling for liberation and independence.
