Gaza, Palestine – Hamas warned of a “dangerous and rapidly escalating” situation in the Gaza Strip, asserting that the field conditions are ripe for a widespread explosion if the Israeli aggression and escalation continue unchecked. The movement also called on regional and international mediators to intervene urgently to halt the situation before it spirals out of control.

In a statement, Hamas said that the continued bombardment and targeting of civilians and infrastructure are further complicating the humanitarian and security situation. Moreover, it is undermining all efforts to achieve a truce or reach understandings that would guarantee a ceasefire. The movement indicated that the level of tension in the Strip has reached unprecedented levels.

Hamas added that the ball is now in the mediators’ court. It also held the international community responsible for its silence regarding the events in Gaza. Hamas emphasized that ignoring repeated warnings will push the region into a new cycle of violence with unpredictable consequences.

This warning comes amid escalating tensions on the ground and fears of a wider confrontation. Meanwhile, the residents of the Strip are living in dire humanitarian conditions, with the ongoing siege and shortages of basic necessities.
