Tokyo, Japan – The Japan Meteorological Agency warned Tuesday of a possible series of earthquakes in western Japan over the next week. It urged residents to take necessary precautions and be prepared for any emergency.

The agency explained that the expected seismic activity could affect some coastal and inland areas, warning of potential damage to infrastructure, including roads, buildings, and railways. It emphasized that this warning is part of its ongoing and close monitoring of geological changes in the country, which lies on the Pacific Ring of Fire, an area known for its high seismic activity.

Local authorities urged residents to follow official instructions, ensure emergency exits are clear, and stock up on essential supplies such as food, water, and medicine. They also advised securing heavy furniture to prevent accidents.

These warnings come as Japan prepares for natural disasters. With a long history of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, the government is making continuous efforts to strengthen early warning systems and protect its citizens.
