The President praised the level of cooperation between the Egyptian and Iraqi security services, and the efforts of the Kurdistan Region in establishing peace.
For his part, Masrour Barzani expressed his deep appreciation for the pivotal role played by Egypt and its political leadership in supporting Iraq’s stability. He emphasized the importance of restoring balance in the region and stated his government’s desire to broaden cooperation with Egyptian institutions.
Economic partnership and Egyptian expertise that transcends borders
The economic file occupied a significant portion of the discussions, with a review of ways to deepen development cooperation. President Sisi highlighted the expertise of Egyptian companies in the energy and infrastructure sectors, urging the Kurdish side to leverage this expertise to implement high-quality projects at competitive costs.
Barzani welcomed the role of Egyptian companies, stressing his desire to transfer successful Egyptian expertise to priority sectors in the regional government.

The meeting included an exchange of views on regional issues of common interest. President El-Sisi presented Egypt’s comprehensive vision for restoring regional security and stability. He also listened to the regional government leader’s assessment of the current situation and efforts to de-escalate tensions.
