Ramallah, Palestine – An advisor to the Palestinian president emphasized today the importance of religious discourse as a strategic tool to counter extremism and terrorism. He affirmed that it represents a fundamental pillar in supporting Palestinian national rights and strengthening the cultural and religious identity of the Palestinian people.
In a press statement, the advisor noted that the moderate and balanced use of religion contributes to spreading the values of peace and tolerance. It also limits the slide towards extremist ideology, which threatens the stability of society. He added that the Palestinian leadership pays special attention to employing religious discourse in education and media. This aims to ensure that accurate messages reach the public and to raise awareness of the importance of the Palestinian cause at both the regional and international levels.
The advisor also noted that the integration of religion and national consciousness helps preserve Palestinian identity and supports society in confronting malicious campaigns that attempt to distort the true image of the Palestinian people and their just cause.
