Africa – The Constitutional Council of the Central African Republic has officially approved only seven candidates to run in the presidential elections scheduled for next December. This decision was made after reviewing the candidates’ files and ensuring they met the constitutional and legal requirements.

The announcement comes amid domestic and international anticipation of this event. The people of the Central African Republic are pinning their hopes on it to achieve greater political stability, especially given the security and economic challenges facing the country.

The final list includes prominent political figures alongside new faces, while a number of applicants were excluded for not meeting the required conditions.

The country is witnessing intensive preparations for the launch of election campaigns in the coming weeks. There are assurances of the need to guarantee the integrity of the electoral process and create a suitable environment for broad voter participation.
