Paris, France – In an incident that has shaken cultural and artistic circles around the world, French prosecutors announced that more than 100 investigators are participating in the ongoing investigation into a major theft from the Louvre Museum. The museum is considered one of the most important and famous artistic monuments in the world.

French authorities said that specialized teams from the Paris police and criminal intelligence are working to trace the crime. The crime has been described as “the most complex and daring” in decades, amidst extreme secrecy surrounding the nature and true value of the stolen items.

Initial reports indicate that the perpetrators carried out the attack with great professionalism, exploiting limited security gaps within the exhibition halls. A comprehensive review of the surveillance systems and internal cameras is underway to pinpoint the exact moment of the break-in.

A judicial source confirmed that French authorities consider the case a “national priority,” given its potential threat to global cultural heritage. The source indicated that investigation teams are working around the clock in coordination with Interpol to assess the possibility of the artifacts being smuggled out of the country.

The case is being closely monitored by the French Ministry of Culture, which described the incident as “a stab in the heart of art.” The ministry confirmed that all measures will be taken to ensure the recovery of the stolen pieces and enhance the security of national museums.

The Louvre Museum is a global symbol of art and history. It houses timeless masterpieces such as the Mona Lisa and statues from the civilizations of Egypt, Greece, and Rome. It receives millions of visitors annually from around the world.

Observers believe this crime will prompt France to reconsider its system for protecting its cultural treasures. Global interest in the theft and smuggling of artworks is growing in black markets valued at billions of dollars annually.
