The ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace, attended by senior military commanders, representatives of political parties, and diplomatic delegations from several African countries, amid tight security measures and extensive media coverage.

In his speech after taking the oath of office, Randrianirina affirmed that he would work to consolidate the constitutional order and restore confidence in state institutions.

Pledging to launch a comprehensive national dialogue to achieve reconciliation between various political forces and advance economic and social development.

Priorities at the head of the authority

The new president added that his priorities include combating corruption, improving public services, and providing job opportunities for young people. He emphasized that the next phase will witness profound reforms in government institutions to ensure stability and national independence.

Randrianirina’s inauguration comes after a period of political turmoil in Madagascar.
