Elections in Egypt require close monitoring by the National Election Authority, especially given their importance in shaping the House of Representatives.

Nomination details

The final day alone saw 417 individual candidates submit their papers, bringing the total number of candidates to 2,826 for all House of Representatives seats.

The authority’s central operations room confirmed that all committees receiving applications adhered to legal procedures. Elections staff at the National Authority noted that Egypt has extensive experience with such arrangements.

electoral lists

Several electoral lists have submitted their candidacies to compete for the list seats in the House of Representatives, the most prominent of which are:

The National List for Egypt ran in the Cairo, South and Central Delta, and North, Central, and South Upper Egypt sectors.

Generation list in the East and West Delta sectors.

The “Your Voice for Egypt” popular list and the “Egypt Call” list in the West Delta sector. Elections are always a crucial stage in the political life of the Egyptian House of Representatives.

Election timeline

Voting abroad: November 7 and 8.

Voting inside Egypt (first phase): November 10 and 11, and second phase: November 24 and 25.

The runoff will be held in early December, with the final results announced on December 11, 2025. The National Elections Authority has carefully considered all details to ensure the integrity of the electoral process for Egypt’s House of Representatives.

Features of the electoral scene

While initial indicators point to strong competition between the various lists in the Delta and Upper Egypt regions, independent candidates are betting on their popular support in some individual constituencies.

Election sources expect a large number of seats to be decided in the runoff, with the possibility of appeals being filed before the Administrative Court following the announcement of the preliminary results.

Elections in Egypt, under the supervision of the National Authority, play a pivotal role in ensuring transparency in the selection of members of the House of Representatives.
