Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia affirmed that the New York Conference represents a historic moment and a real opportunity to advance the process of establishing an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967, borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

A call to stop the escalation and open a political horizon

Riyadh stressed that the continued military escalation in Gaza and the West Bank is exacerbating the humanitarian situation. It called for an immediate ceasefire and the opening of safe corridors for the entry of humanitarian aid.

Support international efforts to achieve peace

Saudi Arabia welcomed recent international moves, including the increasing recognition of a Palestinian state by a number of Western countries. It considered these steps to enhance the chances of reviving the peace process.

Fixed position that does not change

The Kingdom affirmed that the Palestinian cause remains a top priority of its foreign policy, indicating that it will spare no effort in supporting the rights of the Palestinian people until they achieve their freedom and independence.
