Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz threatened the Houthi leader in Yemen, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, on Friday.

“It’ll be your turn,” he threatened.

Katz wrote on his X account: “Abdulmalik al-Houthi, it will be your turn.”

“You will be sent to meet with members of your government,” he added. He vowed that the “Death to Israel” slogan written on the Houthi flag would be replaced with the Israeli flag in the Yemeni capital.

Yesterday, Thursday, the Israeli army announced the interception of a missile launched from Yemen.

While a drone hit the city of Eilat, with the Houthis confirming that they were carrying out operations towards Israel.

The army said in a statement that the air force intercepted “a missile launched from Yemen.” This caused alarms to be activated in several areas.

Trained interception

This came shortly after the Israeli police confirmed that its members had “secured the impact site” of a drone. The drone was launched from the east in the city of Eilat in the south of the country, overlooking the Red Sea.

In a separate statement, the army said that “search and rescue teams are working in the area where a report of the collision was received.” It noted that the air force intercepted a second drone coming from the east.

The Houthis claimed responsibility for carrying out “three military operations” towards Israel.

The Israeli army has recently intensified its attacks against the Houthis.

This resulted in the deaths of dozens last week in the capital, Sanaa, after the assassination of their prime minister. Also, 9 ministers and officials who were members of their government were killed in August.

Since the start of the war in Gaza, the Houthis have intensified their attacks with missiles and drones towards Israel.

In addition to attacks on commercial ships they say are linked to it off the coast of Yemen.

In response, Israel launched raids in Yemen targeting ports, including Hodeidah, power plants and Sanaa International Airport.

Israeli Defense Minister Katz threatened the Houthis. He stated that they “will continue to receive strikes and pay heavy prices for any attempt to attack the State of Israel”.
