Tokyo, Japan – Japanese authorities have decided to expel Polisario Front representatives from Japanese territory.

They were also prohibited from engaging in any political activity outside the scope of their participation within the African Union delegation to the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD).

This decision came after a series of strict measures taken by the Japanese authorities against the Polisario delegation.

These included not being formally invited. They were denied accreditation badges and prohibited from speaking or participating in any of the sessions.

In addition to imposing strict security control over their movements.

The Polisario delegation was scheduled to hold a press conference at the Tokyo Press Club.

However, the event was canceled at the last minute. It was announced that the cancellation came “for special reasons related to the members of the delegation”.

Sources from within the organizing committee confirmed that the Japanese authorities were the ones who prevented the conference from being held.

I informed those concerned of the need to leave the country, 3 days before their previously scheduled departure date.

It should be noted that the Polisario’s participation in TICAD took place exceptionally within the African Union delegation. It was according to precise conditions limited to attending the conference on development in Africa only.

However, the delegation exceeded these conditions by attempting to organize a parallel political agenda. This included meetings with parliamentarians, journalists, and non-governmental organizations, in clear violation of the agreed-upon protocol.

This transgression prompted the Japanese authorities to take a tough stance.

It rejected any attempt to exploit the international event for propaganda purposes.

She stressed the need to respect her sovereignty and the conditions of her hosting. Finally, she ordered the Polisario delegation to leave Japanese territory.
