Russia controls two towns in Donetsk and Zaporizhia

Moscow, Russia – The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its forces were able to control two new towns, while continuing their advance on all axes of fighting, inflicting heavy losses on Ukrainian forces in lives and equipment, and improving their positions on the battle fronts.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement that the formations of the “Central” Forces Group took control of the town of Novoakryinka in Donetsk Province, and added that the soldiers of the “East” Forces Group, for their part, were able to take control of the town of Temirovka in Zaporizhia Province.

In its daily report, the Ministry revealed the total daily losses of Ukrainian forces in various combat axes, noting that the total losses of those forces amounted to about 1,255 soldiers.

The ministry explained that the Ukrainian forces lost more than 175 soldiers in the area of responsibility of the “North” group of forces in Sumy and Kharkiv, more than 230 soldiers in the area of responsibility of the “West” forces in Kharkiv and Donetsk, about 155 soldiers in the area of responsibility of the “South” forces in Donetsk, more than 200 soldiers in the area of responsibility of the “Central” forces in Donetsk and Zaporizhia, and more than 205 soldiers in the area of responsibility of the “East” forces in Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporizhia More than 70 soldiers are in the area of responsibility of the Dnieper forces in Zaporizhia and Kherson.

Russian forces’ strikes over the past day hit the infrastructure of a military airport, a drone production workshop and a training center for march operators, in addition to temporary deployment points for Ukrainian army formations and foreign mercenaries in 142 regions.

Russian air defenses shot down a long-range Neptune guided missile and 233 Ukrainian drones.
