Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Arab Youth Center signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Games Ventures during its participation in the World Government Summit 2026 in Dubai.

Highlights
  • Scalable projects
  • Investment and growth opportunities

The MoU aims to develop specialized training programs for Arab youth in the digital games sector,

enhancing their professional readiness within one of the world’s fastest-growing creative industries.

And the MoU was signed by Eng. Fatima Al-Halami, Executive Director of the Arab Youth Center, and investor Mohammed Al-Sheikh, CEO of Games Ventures.

The MoU also targets the implementation of practical training programs that simulate the actual work environment in the games industry.

These programs include developing viable game ideas and working within multidisciplinary teams.

Scalable projects

Participants gain skills in game design and player experience,

as well as product management, publishing, and growth strategies.

They also receive direct professional mentorship from industry experts,

enabling them to transform prototypes into scalable and sustainable projects.

Al-Halami explained that practical training is the cornerstone of genuine

growth at both the individual and sectoral levels.

She further clarified that the memorandum aims to empower young people

by equipping them with clear tools and a precise professional vision.

This will give them the confidence to become active and innovative players

in the gaming industry, and perhaps even its future leaders.

Investment and growth opportunities

For his part, Mohammed Al-Sheikh stated that the partnership

aims to transfer global expertise to a new generation of Arab game developers.

It also aims to familiarize them with the workings of international game teams,

enabling them to transition from hobby to profession and from individual to teamwork.

Furthermore, it moves them from the entertainment sector to the economic sector, contributing to comprehensive development.

Data indicates that the global gaming market is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the digital economy.

Its value reached approximately $198.4 billion in 2021, and it is projected to reach approximately $339.95 billion by 2027.

The compound annual growth rate is 8.94%, reflecting the vast investment

and growth opportunities in this field internationally.

This initiative aims to equip Arab youth with the practical skills

and experience necessary to keep pace with the rapid development of the digital gaming industry.

It also contributes to preparing them to participate effectively in the knowledge economy.
