Abu Dhabi, UAE – Al Jazira Club announced on Saturday evening the signing of Marcus Meloni, coming from Sharjah Club, to strengthen the team’s ranks during the current winter transfer window.

Al Jazira Club wrote on its official account on the “X” platform: “From the heart of Abu Dhabi, a new chapter begins… Meloni with the pride of Abu Dhabi”.

Al-Jazira Club did not disclose any financial details regarding the deal or the duration of the contract, but according to press reports, the player signed a contract that extends for 4 years.

First comment from Marcus Meloni after joining Al Jazeera

Marcus Meloni told his club’s website: “Hello Al Jazira fans, I’m happy to be here. See you soon at the stadium”.

Meloni had previously revealed, specifically in mid-January, that he had officially signed with Al Jazira Club, after giving Sharjah several opportunities to renew his contract and remain with the team. However, the two sides failed to reach a final agreement, prompting him to choose to embark on a new experience in the capital, Abu Dhabi.

Al Jazira’s management continues its efforts during the current winter transfer window to finalize a number of strong and important deals to bolster the ranks of the Pride of Abu Dhabi.
