Abu Dhabi, UAE – The skies over the UAE witnessed spectacular air displays on Saturday, organized by the UAE Armed Forces and the Al Fursan aerobatic display team. The national spectacle, embodying solidarity, unity, and readiness, captivated audiences across the Emirates as part of the celebrations for National Day, January 17th.
The displays began off the Abu Dhabi Corniche with helicopters and fighter jets painting the sky with the colors of the UAE flag, drawing large crowds of families from various nationalities. The aerobatic team then continued its tour, performing over Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah. Additionally, helicopter displays were held on the Khor Fakkan Corniche. The helicopter show lasted two hours and four minutes, while the fighter jet display lasted 34 minutes, showcasing the advanced defensive and technological capabilities of the Armed Forces through meticulously coordinated maneuvers.
The “Day of Resolve” is a national occasion that reinforces the values of unity between the leadership and the people, and affirms the strength of the Union and the spirit of solidarity that characterizes the nation. The air shows also serve to embody pride in the UAE’s national capabilities and advanced defense system.
