Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, honored the winners of the «Zayed Sustainability Award» for the year 2026.

This was during the awards ceremony held as part of the activities of «Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week».

In the presence of a number of His Highnesses sheikhs, leaders of countries, their representatives and guests.

His Highness the President stressed that the UAE is continuing its firm commitment to supporting efforts aimed at enhancing the quality of human life and consolidating the foundations of stability and progress in the world.

He pointed out that the «Zayed Sustainability Award» continues to stimulate practical solutions that contribute to the advancement of societies and enhance development opportunities through innovation and cooperation.

His Highness said that the award contributes to consolidating the legacy of the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, and his vision rooted in the values of giving, unity and common prosperity to build a better future for all humanity.

Since its establishment in 2008, the Zayed Sustainability Prize«has established itself as a leader in driving global impact.

This is done by honoring small and medium-sized companies, non-profit institutions and secondary schools that provide innovative solutions to pressing challenges within their six categories: health, food, energy, water, climate action, and global secondary schools.

Through the arrival of its previous 128 winners, the award has made a positive impact on the lives of more than 411 million people.

This session witnessed record levels of participation, with 7,761 applications from 173 countries.

It was reviewed within a rigorous multi-stage evaluation process by technical experts, members of the selection committee and the jury headed by Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, former President of the Republic of Iceland.
