Dubai, UAE – The Dubai International Financial Centre announced its membership in the Global Forum on Cross-Border Privacy Rules.

This was during a workshop held within the forum in the Philippines.

He pointed out that this is the first time it has been held between countries outside the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum.

It is a forum that encourages free trade between some Pacific Basin countries.

The center stated, in a statement, that as a condition of membership, it has also joined the International Privacy Enforcement Cooperation Agreement (CAPE).

This membership contributes to facilitating further global trade.

While protecting trust arising from cross-border data flows, in a secure and more transparent manner.

The Cross-Border Privacy Rules System certifies organizations’ compliance with specific program requirements for the transfer of cross-border personal data.

In 2022, the announcement establishing the Global Forum for Cross-Border Privacy Rules was published.

It is a framework that is not limited to countries in the Asia-Pacific region, but includes all parts of the world.

This is to facilitate the wider transfer of cross-border personal data.
