Dubai, UAE – The “First Emirati-Russian Business Forum” was launched on Wednesday in Dubai.
It is one of the most prominent events on the economic agenda between the two countries.
The UAE-Russia Business Council is organising the forum, which is set to become an annual event.
This is supported by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the RosCongress Foundation, and Marathon Investment Group.
The forum brings together leaders of major companies and investment funds from the UAE and Russia.
In addition to representatives of relevant ministries in both countries, as well as emerging technology companies.
This event is held as part of the twelfth meeting of the Russian-Emirati Joint Governmental Committee on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation.
This comes within the framework of the two countries’ keenness to strengthen their bilateral relations.
Recent years have witnessed significant growth in the volume of trade exchange between them.
Joint ventures have also expanded to cover a wide range of sectors, from industry, transportation, and logistics.
To agriculture, digital technologies, healthcare, and investments.
Cooperation between the two countries is expanding in traditional sectors.
In addition to innovative areas that require new mechanisms to enhance partnership.
The most important part of the forum is the plenary session entitled “Engineering Long-Term Growth: New Opportunities for Both Countries”.
Alexander Vinokurov, Chairman of the UAE-Russia Business Council, will review the Council’s strategy and tools aimed at activating the economic and trade potential between the UAE and Russia.
The session will focus on bilateral economic cooperation and practical mechanisms for developing joint projects between the two countries.
The session will witness the launch of the first accelerator program aimed at building an integrated system to support the growth of Russian technology companies and startups in the UAE.
The event will witness a discussion of ways to develop investment cooperation with the participation of a group of strategic investors and specialized funds.
This took place in a dedicated session entitled “Strategic Joint Investment Dialogue”, hosted by the Investment Majlis platform, with the aim of promoting constructive dialogue and introducing new tools to support projects.
The session will review proposed projects and mechanisms to establish a joint investment platform between the UAE and Russia.
Participants will discuss developing bilateral export and logistics corridors, diversifying trade flows, and finding sustainable multimodal solutions.
