Abu Dhabi, UAE – In a move that underscores the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s commitment to accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies, His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor, met today with Satya Nadella, Chairman and CEO of Microsoft Corporation.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The two sides reviewed the progress of existing technological cooperation and joint initiatives. These initiatives aim to enhance the UAE’s digital infrastructure and support advanced applications, in line with the nation’s ambitious future vision.
His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed that the discussion addressed ways to expand the horizons of joint work between Abu Dhabi and Microsoft. He pointed to the growing confidence in the emirate’s approach to accelerating the adoption of modern technologies, as well as its provision of a supportive and stimulating environment for investments in the digital sector.
His Highness emphasized that these strategic investments are primarily aimed at developing national capabilities. They also aim to contribute effectively to the sustainability of the emirate’s economic and technological growth. This meeting reflects the strategic importance Abu Dhabi places on deepening its partnerships with global technology leaders. These partnerships aim to strengthen its position as a leading regional hub for digital innovation.
