The UAE-Morocco relations are a model of strong fraternal ties

Abu Dhabi, UAE – The United Arab Emirates has reaffirmed the depth of the historical relations that bind it to the Kingdom of Morocco,

and its unwavering support for Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara.

This took place during a celebration organized by the UAE Embassy in Rabat on Tuesday,

on the occasion of “Union Day”,

This took place in the presence of Moroccan and foreign figures,

headed by Ahmed Toufiq, Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.

In a speech delivered during the ceremony,

Al-Asri Saeed Ahmed Al-Dhaheri, the UAE Ambassador to Rabat,

emphasized the significant developmental achievements.

His country’s achievements “are based on strong strategic partnerships with brothers and friends.”

He added that the UAE attaches paramount importance

to strengthening its regional and international relations.

A model Emirati-Moroccan partnership

The ambassador noted that Emirati-Moroccan relations “embody a model of strong fraternal ties,

Based on mutual respect, common interests, and a long history of cooperation and coordination.”

He emphasized his country’s aspiration to elevate these relations

“to the highest levels befitting the deep-rooted ties between the two peoples.”

He also extended his congratulations to the Kingdom of Morocco

on the occasion of the issuance of the latest UN Security Council resolution.

He said that he “stood up for Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara,”

and considered it a pivotal step towards a final and sustainable political solution.

Unwavering Emirati support for the Moroccan Sahara issue

Al-Dhaheri stressed the UAE’s “firm and supportive stance on the Moroccan Sahara issue”

He stressed that this support is embodied not only in political stances

But also by strengthening the economic and investment presence

in various regions of Morocco, including the southern regions.

He explained that his country is looking forward to “launching quality Emirati investments

that contribute to the development of these regions and enhance their prosperity.”

Strengthening joint cooperation in Africa

The ambassador also stressed the UAE’s keenness to “deepen strategic cooperation

with Morocco at the African level”.

This is in recognition of the importance of coordination between

the two countries in supporting the issues of the continent

and promoting development and stability.

Praise for the role of King Mohammed VI

The UAE representative in Rabat praised the leading role played

by King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee,

This is in support of the Palestinian cause and working towards the stability of the region.

He emphasized that this role reflects the historical and religious responsibility borne by the Kingdom.

This is in relation to the crucial issues facing the Arab and Islamic nations.

UAE commitment to peace and development

The ambassador concluded his speech by emphasizing the UAE’s commitment

to “an approach of cooperation, openness, and constructive work with various countries.”

This is in support of peace, stability and sustainable development around the world.
