Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Billion Followers Summit and TikTok announced a partnership to launch the first edition of the Educational Content Creators Award.
It is the first initiative of its kind globally that celebrates content creators who are reinventing online learning methods.
They also announced that participation will be open to content creators from the Middle East, North Africa, Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America, starting the day before yesterday until December 21.
This is achieved by showcasing educational content that inspires their communities and has a tangible impact on the ground.
The award is held as part of the activities of the fourth edition of the Billion Followers Summit, the largest global summit in the content industry economy.
Organized by the UAE Government Media Office, it will be held from January 9 to 11, 2026, at the Emirates Towers, the Dubai International Financial Centre, and the Museum of the Future, under the theme “Purposeful Content.”
The award calls on content creators from around the world to publish entertaining educational content that contributes to making learning accessible to everyone.
This is done through the TikTok platform, which seeks to empower content creators to turn knowledge into a means of inspiration.
From history lessons and life skills tips, to STEM experiences, to entrepreneurship tips.
Three finalists will be selected and invited to the summit in Dubai.
The winner will be announced on January 10, 2026, and will receive a cash prize of $100,000 from the Billion Followers Summit in recognition of his contributions to global learning efforts.

Khadija Hussein, Executive Director of the Government Communications Sector at the UAE Government Media Office and Deputy Director of the Billion Followers Summit, said: “The Billion Followers Summit continues to establish strong partnerships with various global digital media platforms to open the way for creators in our region and around the world to be active in shaping the future of Content industry and contributing to positive change in societies”.
She stressed that the partnership of the Billion Followers Summit and TikTok to launch the Educational Content Creators Award is of great importance.
