Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific – International Operations Department at the Dubai Tourism and Commercial Marketing Corporation, affiliated with the Department of Economy and Tourism, Shihab Abdullah Sheyan, said that Dubai continues to consolidate its position as an attractive global tourist destination, through a promotion strategy in more than 80 international markets around the world.

In addition to a wide network of representative offices, and with the support of more than 3,000 partners, they work to highlight the emirate and market its diverse tourism components.

Xi’an added that the organization is focusing on existing major markets, while at the same time working and intensifying its efforts in new markets.

He pointed to markets such as Vietnam, Turkey, Eastern European countries, and others, in addition to a number of African markets, including Egypt.

In recent years, it has witnessed strong promotional campaigns and contributed to increasing the demand for visiting the emirate.

He stated that India and Britain top the list of markets exporting tourism to Dubai.

The city received 2.6 million tourists from Western Europe.

Equivalent to about 21% of the total number of visitors, in an indicator that reflects the strength of Dubai’s global presence.

Xi’an explained that marketing efforts are not limited to attracting the visitor for the first time, but rather work to motivate him to repeat the visit through an integrated experience that includes hospitality services, various events, and an advanced tourism infrastructure.

He pointed out that cooperation between various parties is an important pillar for enhancing Dubai’s tourism attractiveness and making the joint promotion system a success.

He stressed that Dubai hotels achieve strong performance compared to competing markets, thanks to the quality of services and the diversity of options that meet different segments.

He also pointed out that hotel occupancy rates recorded remarkable growth during the first nine months of this year.

He also stressed that Dubai continues to enhance the attractiveness of its tourism product across multiple axes, including opening new entertainment facilities and organizing a busy schedule of international events.

In addition to launching innovative services that meet the needs of visitors of different age groups and cultures.

One in 50 Britons visited Dubai in 2024

The British market continues to consolidate its position as one of the most important export markets for tourists to Dubai.

Last year, the emirate received 1.327 million British tourists out of 18.72 million international visitors.

What makes Britain one of the largest Western markets is its presence in a city that is classified among the most prominent tourist destinations in the world.

Visitors coming from the United Kingdom constituted about 7.1% of the total number of tourists who arrived in Dubai during the past year.

This is a high percentage given the great diversity of markets that the emirate attracts from different continents.

If the number of British tourists coming to Dubai is compared to the population of the United Kingdom, which amounted to about 68 million people by the end of 2024.

This means that one in 50 British citizens visited Dubai in about one year.
