Sharjah, United Arab Emirates – The UAE bow and arrow team won 7 medals, including 3 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze, in the second West Asian Championship “Qatar 2025”.

The Federation announced in a statement that the tournament, which was held in the Qatari capital, Doha, during the period from October 28 to November 4, witnessed distinguished levels of male and female national team players.
The national team delegation arrived in the country on Monday evening.
At the forefront of those receiving her at Sharjah Airport were Hamid Sabt Al Shamsi, Vice President of the Federation, and Hind Al Hosani, Secretary General.
Players Maitha Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Amna Yousef Al Awadhi, and Jumana Ali Al Najjar won the gold medal in the compound bow in the women’s team category.
While the men’s team consisting of Ali Yaqoub Ranjiri, Mansour Saeed Al Ketbi, and Sepp Sankar Maite succeeded in winning the gold medal in the convex bow.
The UAE national team also won the gold medal in the mixed team convex arc, with the participation of Samia Udinaeva and Sepp Sankar Maite.
Mohammed Saleh bin Amr and Amna Youssef Al-Awadhi also won the silver medal in the mixed team compound bow.
Amna Youssef Al-Awadi won silver in the women’s compound bow individual category.
The men’s team, consisting of Mohammed Saleh bin Amr, Yousef Hassan Al Hosani, and Shihab Ahmed Al Saadi, continued its competitive results in the tournament by winning the bronze medal in the compound bow category.
Hanadi Khalifa Al Kabouri, President of the Federation, described the continental achievement as a new milestone in the path of excellence for the UAE national team, and a qualitative addition to the development achieved by the national teams over the past years.
At the same time, she announced the Union’s continued strategic approach in adopting initiatives that support the advancement of the game.
