Abu Dhabi “Longboard Classic” concludes its second edition and crowns the winners

Abu Dhabi "Longboard Classic" concludes its second edition and crowns the winners

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – The World Surfing Association concluded the competitions of the second edition of the Abu Dhabi Longboard Classic 2025, at the Surf Abu Dhabi facility on Al Hudayriyat Island, after 3 days of competitions, with American Honoloa Bloomfield and Frenchman Edouard Delbero winning the championship title.

The final day of the tournament, which began with the men’s and women’s quarter-final competitions, witnessed a distinguished performance by 16 male and female competitors from the elite world champions.

Two of the game’s most prominent stars qualified for the final: American Avalon Gall and Hawaiian star Honoloa Bloomfield.

While the men’s final brought together the 2024 title holder, South African Stephen Sawyer, and Frenchman Edouard Delbero.

In the women’s final, Bloomfield shined above the world’s largest artificial waves to score a total of 16.60 points, narrowly ahead of Gall, who achieved 16.43 points.

Bloomfield was crowned with the cup, which was handmade from Ghaf wood and decorated with traditional Sadu patterns woven by Emirati women.

In the men’s competition, Delbero put on a strong performance, achieving a total of 15.80 points compared to 14.43 for Sawyer, to win the championship title.
