Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Lodging Economics, an American company specializing in the real estate consulting sector, reported that the number of rooms in hotel projects “under construction” in Dubai recorded an annual increase of 22% by the end of the third quarter of 2025.
This is compared to the same period last year.
She explained that the emirate includes 56 hotel projects “under construction”, which in total include more than 13.9 thousand hotel rooms.
The company stated that the number of projects in Dubai also recorded a growth of 7%.
She pointed out that more hotel projects have entered service in the emirate during the past months.
She explained that the number of projects “under construction” in the UAE market reached 103 hotel projects, with a capacity exceeding 26 thousand rooms, with an annual increase of 20% in terms of the number of projects, and 10% in terms of the number of rooms.

It reached 659 projects, including more than 163,000 hotel rooms, by the end of the third quarter of 2025.
She added that the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt markets combined account for about 88% of the region’s total projects “under construction.”
She said that during the third quarter of 2025, the Middle East region opened 20 new hotels, comprising 4,822 rooms.
It expects to open 45 additional new hotels, comprising 9,531 hotel rooms, in the fourth quarter of 2025.
This brings the total number of new hotels this year to 65, comprising 14,353 hotel rooms in the region as a whole.
The company explained that the hotel sector “under construction” in the region is witnessing strong activity.
32 new projects, totaling 7,184 rooms, were announced during the third quarter of 2025, a 7% year-on-year increase.
